YAHOO~!!!!! I couldn't wait for the end of the school year and now its finally here! Here I am, sitting in front of the computer and thinking to myself, "okay.. now what?". Good Gosh! I haven't fully planned my holidays yet! Sure, there's Penang next week and Koh Samui after that, but what about now? Yeesh! Good news is, I have a karaoke session with dad tomorrow! I kinda wonder though, is it really possible for 2 people to sing 6 hours straight? Hmm... looks like there's only one way to find out =S
Moving on... Last weekend I was working at a booth in this World of Chinese Book fair held at The Mines Exhibition Centre. It was really really cool! There were booths all over the place, selling books, comics, books, stationery, books, IQ games, books, books and more books! BOOKWORM HEAVEN!!! But the saddest thing for me is that ALL THE BOOKS ARE IN CHINESE!!!
Okay, okay, i know, Chinese Book Fair, du-uh! sighs... Well at least there was this little area set up by MPH which sells some books that are in english. Oh yeah, you must be wondering, what is a non-chinese speaking person like myself doing at a booth in a chinese book fair? Weeeellll, I was doing my best to explain science experiments in mandarin to the chinese speaking folks and failing miserably. *winces* Well, at least i do TRY!!! and end up fumbling up some words here and there. *winces again* sigh..
ANYWAYS!!!! Thats all for now.. haha! byes!

Post-Annual Dinner
My school's annual dinner was held at the school hall last friday night. It was a rainy night and i was feeling apprehensive about it. Nevertheless, I went there and was amazed at the effort the management staff put in to the decorations and they were able to create a very 'aloha' atmosphere. There were coconut tree leaves, flower hair clips for ladies, those flowery things you put around your necks, candles, flower petals, coconut shells.. It was truly beautiful.
The food was.. CATERED! YAY! Although there wasn't much variety but the food quality was pretty good. There was satay, spaghetti, prawn kebab, roasted lamb, baked potatos, mushroom soup, salad, fruits and even ice kacang!
The night started off with a welcoming dance by most of the management staff. It was really amusing to see the principal, vice-principal, head of departments and other people dancing in grass skirts and Hawaiian shirts. Then the inevitable happened.... BLACKOUT! Apparent the whole of the area around the school experienced a blackout too! So there we were, sitting in the hall, dressed nicely, and eating food with nothing but candlelight. Although I have to admit I didn't really mind it so much.. until the mozzies started biting.. BAH! MOZZIES!!
After about almost an hour, HURRAY!!! The power came back! YIPPIE~ Then we had lucky draw, some games, and karaoke. I was extremely lucky that night. I won one of the Grand Prizes (there were only two).. I WON AN LG MICROWAVE!!!! Yahoo!!!!! I went home that day feeling really happy and lucky! hehehe~

Pre-Annual Dinner
DURING MORNING MEETING..
wednesday two weeks ago.....
Principle: Teachers, we have good news! Our annual dinner is on next Friday!!
Teachers: *CLAP HANDS!!!!*
Principle: Yes! It will be the same place and same food as last year!!
Teachers: *clap hands*
ME: *wondering about the difference in enthusiasm* (????)
Later on, I discovered from the senior teachers that last year's place is pretty far and the choice of food was extremely limited. Like, 3 mutton, 1 chicken and some veggie.. and there was some spaghetti for the vegetarian teachers. No wonder the difference in the clapping *shrug*
two days later from that day.....
Principle: Teachers, bad news.. we couldn't book the venue for the friday so the dinner is postponed to the following friday after the original date, which is on the 30th of October.
Teachers: (happy coz got more time to shop for clothes)
ME: oh.. okay.
a week ago.....
Principle: Teachers, guess what? Our annual dinner will be in the SCHOOL HALL and the theme is ALOHA!
Teachers: *still processing the sudden change*
Principle: And now the lets have the relief teachers for today...... bla bla bla..
Teachers: *not done absorbing the info*
ME: *school hall???????!?!?!?!?!?!?!* -____________-"
WAHHHHHHH~! Good tactic of changing the topic before anyone can ask any questions! Later on i found out from other teachers that the school was actually trying to reduce the cost of the annual dinner. Right now, everyone (meaning all the teachers) is hoping that the food is not catered from the canteen operator we eat from every day. But then again, I wouldn't be surprised =.=||
Tomorrow night is the annual dinner.. Interesting... >_>"

wow... *dusts off the thick layer of dust on her blog*
Woot! I just decided to get back to blogging and I only just realized the number of comments left on my previous post about the advertising trainee position I had interviewed for. (For those of you who do not know, please refer to previous posts). Turns out I wasn't the only one who ended up going around doing something I thought was annoying and pointless. Well, thanks guys for posting comments. Although one comment caught my eye and I have to say that if doing that kind of job is something you like, then I'm sorry if you felt insulted by my post. However, this is what blogs are about; expressing how you feel about something. Nevertheless, I do agree with the saying of 'don't try, don't know' since it has been my sorta motto throughout life.
-end of topic-
On the other hand.. I'm back and hope to be blogging regularly. I figured out that it'd be kinda fun to blog about my life now as it is. Just an update, I'm currently teaching in a primary school that provides me with plenty of interesting things happening with the kiddies and the teachers alike. Well, short post for today.. more to come!~
